An open Letter from Angel di María to all the Real Madrid fans

My time at Real Madrid has come to an end. It's impossible, in just a few lines, to put all I have gained here, but this letter is my way of explaining how I'm feeling now that I'm bidding the club farewell. Over the four years I have had the honour of wearing this shirt, I have felt nothing but pride about everything that has happened and all I have achieved together with my teammates.
Sadly, now I have to go, but I want to make it clear that this was never my wish. I've always wanted to progress, as anyone else does in their job. I went to the World Cup after winning the 'Decima' with the hope of getting some signal from the Club Management, but it never came. Many things were said and many lies circulated. They always wanted to pin the idea of leaving the club on me, but that's not how it was. Unfortunately, my football isn't to someone's taste. The only thing I asked for was a fair deal. There are many things that I value and a lot of them have nothing to do with my salary. I hope to find them at Manchester United, one of the biggest clubs in the world, with which I'm hoping to make history.

Decapitated snake kills man

Indochinese spitting cobra
A guillotine can kill a person in seconds, so a chef could be forgiven for thinking that he could dispatch one snake with a whack of his knife. But that was not the case, as chef Peng Fan in the Guongdong province of China found out too late.
Peng was bitten by the decapitated head of an Indochinese spitting cobra 20 minutes after removing its head from its body. He had been preparing it for a Guangdong specialty diced snake soup when the incident happened.

KESHI IS BACK

Super Eagles coach, Stephen Keshi has reached a temporary agreement with Sports Minister, Tammy Danagogo, to manage the national team for the upcoming qualifiers in September, pending the time a permanent deal will be agreed on.
Both parties met on Monday, 25 August, and came to a mutual resolution that the Keshi would take charge of the Super Eagles in its upcoming two matches.

Apologise To Nigerians - Elumelu Tells Doctors

Chairman, House Committee on Health, Ndudi Elumelu has urged the Nigerian Medical Association to tender an apology to all Nigerians due to the strike embarked upon by doctors nationwide. The strike, which lasted for 55 days until it was called off over the weekend, brought untold hardship on Nigerians.

Elumelu had during a briefing at the National Assembly on Monday, described the doctors’ decision to stay away in the face of glaring health challenges as ‘unpatriotic.’
He said:

“The leadership of NMA has been described as unpatriotic even by other Nigerian doctors, as well as members of the public in view of various health challenges confronting the nation and the scourge of Ebola virus disease, which erupted during the strike period.
“The committee has a final word for NMA; The NMA has suspended the strike, but it has failed to do one thing: the NMA failed to apologise to Nigerians. The NMA should apologise to Nigerians for all the inconveniences and lives that were lost during the strike.”

NIGERIA MAFIANS IN INDIA

HY11NIGERIANS_1716637f

Recently, there were some reports in the Indian media about Nigerian drug-peddling gangs in the country, especially in the Gao region.
Last October, one Nigerian named Obina Obiwesi was murdered by suspected drug dealers. This caused a protest by some Nigerians in Gao demanding investigation into the matter.
An Indian MP Michael Lobo said this May about the incident, “The Nigerian Mafia are going unchecked because the police are scared of them. The Nigerians are very organized. If you go into Tito’s lane at night, there are Nigerians openly asking tourists if they want ‘coca’, which is the street name of cocaine.”
TVTN India reported some months ago that it spoke to police and locals in Gao, and it found that many Nigerians are rampantly involved in selling drugs on the Anjuna beach and other areas in Gao.
According to the report, many Nigerians enter India on student visas to study in colleges in various parts of India. But they go to Gao and join drug trafficking rings.

Google's Self-Driving Cars, It's a Bumpy Trip

Google Inc.caused a stir earlier this year when it unveiled a self-driving car without a steering wheel, or pedals for braking and accelerating.
But Google's goal of an autonomous car is bumping up against new testing rules from California's Department of Motor Vehicles.
The rules, which take effect on Sept. 16, require a driver to be able to take "immediate physical control" of a vehicle on public roads if needed. That means the car must have a steering wheel and brake and accelerator pedals, according to Bernard Soriano, the top official developing the rules for the state.
Google could test its fully autonomous prototype on private roads, or try to test the vehicle on public roads outside California.
But the company said it plans to comply with the California rule by building a small, temporary steering-wheel and pedal system that drivers can use during testing.
"With these additions, our safety drivers can test the self-driving features while having the ability to take control of the vehicle if necessary," Google spokeswoman Courtney Hohne said.
The bump in the road shows how far Google has to travel to get fully autonomous cars on city streets and highways. The technology has to maneuver a host of obstacles, including acceptance by the general public and the issue of liability when accidents happen.

Jacob Zuma Address Halted By Opposition MPs In South Africa

Mr Zuma was responding to allegations that he had "unduly benefitted" from an upgrade to his private home in Nkandla which cost taxpayers about $23m (£14m).

MPs from the new Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) were not satisfied with his explanation and started chanting: "Pay back the money."

Parliament was suspended and security called to oust the EFF group.

Police entered parliament in Cape Town carrying riot shields, tear gas and batons but then aborted their plans to forcibly remove the EFF MPs.

The governing African National Congress (ANC) said it was "appalled" by the behaviour of the EFF parliamentarians.

The Democratic Alliance, the largest opposition party, said the EFF's "theatrics" meant South Africans "did not get answers from the president, to which they were rightfully entitled".

Ebola: First Consultant Hospital, Victims’ Families May Sue Liberian Government

Directors of First Consultant Hospital, Obalende  and the bereaved families of the four Nigerians who died after contracting the Ebola Virus from Mr. Patrick Sawyer, are considering a major suit against the Liberian government for  allowing Sawyer to come to Nigeria despite the fact that it was aware that he had contact with his sister who died recently of the deadly virus.

The dreaded Ebola virus was brought to Nigeria last month by the Liberian. He had contracted the disease in his country and then flew into Nigeria aboard an Asky flight to attend an ECOWAS conference of the in Calabar. Among his victims were  Dr. Ameyo Adadevoh, the senior consultant at the hospital,  two nurses at the hospital, and an ECOWAS protocol officer who accompanied him on arrival in Nigeria.

ThisDay reports that for allowing Sawyer out of Liberia given the fact that the surveillance video at the Liberian airport showed that he was avoiding people at the airport, apparently because he did not want to have body contact, the  Liberian government is believed to be liable.

The Liberian media had also reported how Sawyer personally took his sister to the hospital seeking
treatment before she died. Being such a primary contact with his sister who died of Ebola was enough for the Liberian government  to have quarantined him or put him under close watch as he was clearly a danger to public health. Instead, they allowed him into the airport and also allowed him to travel to Nigeria.

USA: Man Condemned to 2 Years in Prison for Supergluing 17 People to Toilets

court
Richmond| William Thomas, a 19-year old boy from the Virginian capital, was found guilty recently of 17 charges of assault, 36 charges of disorderly conduct, 36 charges of disturbing the peace and 36 charges of vandalism, for coating the all toilet seats of six different shopping mall bathroom with industrial strength super glue, making 17 victims. He was condemned to a sentence of two years in prison and a fine of 75000$, a judgement which his lawyer denounces as exaggerated and racist.

“My client is not a violent or dangerous man” explains Mr. Philip Morrisson, who represents Mr. Thomas. “He simply made a mistake that can be explained by his young age and immaturity, and he should not be treated like a dangerous crminal. I will consult him about future actions, but we will certainly appeal the judge’s decision. There is possibly a racial bias behind such a severe sentence, and we cannot stand by and remain silent if Mr. Thomas was not given the opportunity of a fair trial.”

ISIS terrorist who murder James Foley unmasked as Special forces close in on him

Days after the shocking and heartbreaking video of kidnapped US photographer,James Foley being killed was realeased, the US and UK have vowed to find the killer and bring justice. Looks like it didn't take them too long. They used clues from his eyes and reports from former hostages.. Here is a report by Mailonline
It emerged as reports suggested that British intelligence services had identified the true identity of the terrorist who beheaded Mr Foley – as seen in a video which shocked the world - known as 'Jihadi John'.A key suspect is 23-year-old Abdel-Majed Abdel Bary, a rapper who until a year ago lived with his family in their £1m home in the affluent London area of Maida Vale,
but recently appeared on social media grasping a severed head, an anonymous government source told The Sunday Times.British Special Forces hunting the killer of James Foley are using an array of sophisticated equipment to track him down – and possibly free other hostages being held.
In the past 48 hours a ‘significant force’ of SAS soldiers and signallers have deployed to northern Iraq, joining Iraqi and Kurdish units fighting IS.
They have separated into four-man teams and are accompanying local troops in an attempt to capture British jihadis, identify them and establish links to Jihadi John.
One SAS source said: ‘
It is possible to identify British jihadis on the battlefield by intercepting their radio messages. When they’re captured by the Iraqis or Kurds we’ll take a close interest in their questioning.‘Gathering information such as their blood group and DNA, as well as voice recordings in either Arabic or English, will help us zero in on Jihadi John because it can be compared with existing data.’

"We warn the vigilantes called civilian JTF to back off; if not, there will be no place for them to hide. We have evidence of how you killed some of our brethren whom you would ask if they were Boko Haram members before you killed them. We know how you humiliated them by asking them if they had ever carried guns or killed someone…We know everything about the evil you committed against our brethren.

The coming apocalypse: Historian DOMINIC SANDBROOK wrote a damning critique of the West's failure to halt Islamic fanatics.

Dawn on August 23, and in the early morning haze there are already queues outside Britain’s petrol stations.
Along the roads leading into major cities, the lines of cars snake for miles. Many drivers left while it was dark, hoping to beat the traffic through the anti-terrorist checkpoints.
In central London, armed police are already on the streets, a familiar sight in these troubled times

At major train and Tube stations, there are long delays at the barriers as commuters wearily show their ID cards and wait beside the full-body scanners.
In Hyde Park there are few signs of last night’s violence between police and protesters.
In the vast peace camp, which has stood now for some seven years, a few early risers are brewing mint tea, but most are still asleep.
At Britain’s few remaining synagogues, though, the mood is apprehensive. Though many rabbis have installed barbed wire to protect themselves from attack, they know they cannot afford to let their vigilance slip.
This is Britain in 2030: frightened, fractious and weary, its economy sunk in the longest depression in history, its people haunted by terrorism and war.
