Yesterday, June 19, 2013, the Pop singer and his manager had a meeting at an unusual venue – Zone 2 Command of the Nigeria Police Force,
Onikan, Lagos. The purpose of the meeting, sources told NET, was to
trash out an issue the singer had with a some students from the University of Lagos.
Apparently, the students claim they had paid for Wizkid to perform at a May 21 ‘Concert of Life‘ gig which was to hold at the UNILAG
Sports Centre. Wizkid never appeared for the concert but, according to
his minders, that was because the singer was never aware of the concert
neither was his team aware of an transaction.
Wizkid’s team says the students were
dealing with an imposter hence the silence from them. After a few hours,
Wizzy and his management left the station.
‘My camp and I don’t do cheap money! If u want to book me for a show holla @ my team @GodwinTom or @DisturbingLDN ! Bless!‘, the singer wrote on his Twitter, hours after he left the station
No word from his management yet.
